SQE 2 Law Tutor
The formulation of your individual SQE 2 training package is really up to you. We can discuss during the initial session where you feel you need the most help and we can then put together a schedule towards that end. Therefore, the below list is indicative and can be adjusted to each candidate’s particular needs.
1 hour package: This is potentially useful for anyone studying independently and wishing to have a session to cover specific points of law or questions. An hourly session is also potentially useful for anyone that may have done the trial session and wishes to have more time with the tutor before committing to a bigger package. Alternatively, in case of SQE2, the hourly session can be used for going through a particular mock exercise.
5 hour package: In the context of the 5 hour package, we normally either cover a single legal subject or specific topics from various legal subjects. In the case of SQE2 candidates, we can also cover certain theoretical aspects of one subject and combine this with tutoring on the more practical aspects as well, such as legal drafting or issues relevant to advocacy or client interview. Of course, a student may feel confident on the theoretical aspects and seek help solely with the practical aspects of the exam; thus use the whole package to go through mock exercises or to get some useful tips from us as regards practical legal skills.
10 hour package: If you apply for the 10 hour package, we are usually able to cover the legal theory for more legal subjects and at the same time we should have the time to focus more on the practical aspects. This package helps us develop a more consistent approach in your training as we have more time to assess your individual needs and focus on the subject you need the most help with.
20 hour package: This is the most highly recommended package, as it allows us to constantly monitor your progress and, in case of SQE2, cover a great deal of the legal subjects tested. As with the other packages, the training schedule can cover those areas that you feel you need the most help with. However, what makes this package different is that it gives us the opportunity to tutor you on a constant basis and help you even more. This package should also provide adequate time to allow for a more detailed and comprehensive preparation ahead of the exams.
